How to Encrypt Data in Windows 10

STEPS
Encryption:
- Just right click on the folder which you want to Encrypt. Then Click Properties.
- A New Windows will open. In General Tab, click the Advanced button.
- This will Open another new window. On the bottom of the window just check “Encrypt contents to secure data“.
- Congratulations Your Folder is Now Encrypted.
Decryption:
- Just right-click on the folder which you want to Decrypt. Then Click Properties.
- A New Windows will open. In General Tab, click the Advanced button.
- This will Open another new window. On the bottom of the window just uncheck “Encrypt contents to secure data“.
- Congratulations Your Folder is Now Decrypted.
Saving The Certificate File:
- Press “Windows” Button.
- Then write “certmgr.msc” and Press Enter
- This will open a new windows. On the Left side bar of window Press the “Personal” Button.
- Then on the right sidebar click Certificates.
- In Certificate folder, Your certificate will be shown.
- Just right click on that Certificate and Goto All Tasks=>Export.
- This will open a new window. Click Next and then check on the “Yes, Export The Private Key”.
- Click Next, No change in this windows. Then it asks for the password. Give any password you want.
- Then it asks to save location. Give any location and file name. Then Click Next. And Then Click Finish.
- This will Create a certificate file on your selected location. Keep safe that file in your Google Drive or Dropbox, so that in any case of emergency you can easily restore your data with the certificate.
